department by law on April 26, 1873, during the government
of Manuel Prado.
AREA: 20,895 km2.
CAPITAL: Abancay, on the right side of Mariño River.
ELEVATION: 2,378 m.a.s.l
LOCATION: Apurimac is located to South of Perú.
WEATHER: Annual Average temperature 18º C (máx. de
25º C - mín. 12º C).
RAIN SEASON: November to March.
